A dream growing up was to travel and live abroad, so I made it a reality as soon as I could. I lived in Paris France from 2005-2012, and Abu Dhabi UAE from 2012-2014. I also solo-backpacked in South America for 3 months in 2001 (and I was subsequently stranded in Peru after my visit to Machu Picchu due to the 9/11 attacks in NY), and I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in 2010. Living abroad afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively. I have lived in three countries and traveled to 27 countries. I try to travel somewhere new each year.
